Firefighters battling three-alarm blaze in Holiday

Times staff Monday, March 15, 2010 HOLIDAY — Firefighters were battling a three-alarm fire in Pasco County Monday night. The fire at 2112 U.S. 19 N broke out at 9:30 p.m. in a recreational vehicle garage behind Harberson RV. It was unclear how the fire began, said Pasco County emergency manager Paul Latham. More than 15 fire units, most from Pasco and two from Tarpon Springs, were called to the scene to battle the flames, fire officials said. Latham said the fire was contained to the building. Several homes east of the building were evacuated as a precaution, and traffic on U.S. 19 was halted in both directions. No other details were available late Monday night.
